The car park, owned by Derry City & Strabane Council will close from Wednesday, March 24 to Thursday, April 1, to accommodate the essential works.

Signage has been erected in advance of contractors accessing the site to alert regular users of the arrangements and to signpost them to other city centre car parks.

These include Foyle Valley Railway Centre Car Park, at Foyle Road, William Street Car Park, Victoria Market Car Park, at Strand Road, and Foyle Street Car Park, adjacent to the Peace Garden.

A spokesperson for the Council said the work was necessary and, when completed, would provide a new and improved road surface.
