Ten more people die with COVID-19 - NI death toll now 933 - another 419 coronavirus infections diagnosed - 40 people fighting for lives in ICU

According to the latest update, six of the deaths occurred within the current reporting period, with the other four deaths occurring outside the current 24-hour period.

This brings the death toll here to 933.

There are now 40 patients fighting for their lives in ICU - and a total of 425 patients with Coronavirus in our hospitals.

And there are now 143 cases of Covid-19 in NI Care Homes.

Sunday’s DoH dashboard update reports a further 342 positive cases of the virus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 49,784 since the start of the pandemic.

Over the past seven days, the Department says 3,054 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.

On Friday, Health Minister Robin Swann urged everyone across Northern Ireland to focus all their energies on fighting the Covid-19 threat as we countdown to Christmas.

Mr Swann added that pushing down coronavirus infection rates and saving lives has to remain our top priority.
