Tributes paid to Philippa Reynolds on eighth anniversary of manslaughter by drunk and drugged driver

The colleagues of Philippa Reynolds paid tribute to their late colleague this week eight years after she was killed on duty in Derry.

Constable Reynolds was aged just 27 when the unmarked police car she was travelling in was struck by a speeding 4x4 at Dale's Corner on February 9, 2013.

"Eight years ago today we lost our friend and colleague Philippa Reynolds. She was killed whilst on duty when her patrol vehicle was struck by a stolen car driven by a drunk and drugged up driver.

"Philippa brought hope, dedication and joy to those she worked with and to this community she served. We were blessed to have had her in our lives. We still miss her," he colleagues stated this week.
