Video: 'Derry Girl' Jamie-Lee O'Donnell a.k.a. 'Michelle' sends out 'massive thank you' to Western Trust workers

Derry actress Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, most famous for playing 'Michelle' in the hit Channel 4 sitcom 'Derry Girls', has sent a 'massive thank you' to health workers on the front line of the battle against COVID-19 in the Western Trust.

In a specially recorded video message the actress declared: "Hello everyone this is just a wee shout out to all the Western Trust staff in hospitals and the community.

"I just want to say a massive thanks for all the hard work you are doing. It is unbelievably appreciated."

Jamie-Lee went on to praise the community in Derry for observing strict social distancing norms.

"Thanks to everyone for abiding by the government's guidelines on social distancing, washing your hands and only going out when absolutely necessary," she said.
