The SDLP leader makes up just 0.15 per cent of MPs in the British House of Commons but he was overrepresented in the results of the survey with four per cent of Keir Starmer's Labour MPs polled mentioning Mr. Eastwood as either the 'most impressive' or one of the most impressive MPs.

Of those Labour MPs surveyed, Mr. Eastwood was voted ninth most impressive parliamentarian and 4% of those Labour MPs surveyed chose the Foyle MP as the most impressive parliamentarian.

The only other non-Labour MP to get the nod was the Tory father-of-the-house Peter Bottomley who received seven per cent of Labour MP top mentions.

Bottomley didn't make the top ten of Conservative MPs who were asked, 'who, in your opinion, is the most impressive parliamentarian of any party at the moment?'

Since his stunning victory in the Westminster General Election in December 2019 Mr. Eastwood has made 42 spoken contributions both from the floor of the British House of Commons and remotely.

He has voted on legislation and motions on 149 occasions.
