John Hume documentary to be screened tonight on UTV

UTV will tonight scrren a special programme looking back at the life of John Hume.
The programme was announced this afternoon following the Nobel Laureate’s passing earlier today.

In a statement, the programme makers said: “From humble beginnings to architect of peace in Northern Ireland, John Hume’s remarkable contribution is recalled in his own words and by those who witnessed the long road to the Good Friday Agreement.”

John Hume - The Path to Peace is on UTV tonight at 2245 after the news.
