Over a thousand pounds raised to help pay Derry Black Lives Matter fines
Over a thousand pounds have been raised to help pay fines imposed on participants of the Black Lives Matter rally in Derry at the weekend.
Mary Burke, who organised the fundraiser on Go Fund Me, stated: "Fines were handed out continually for the duration of the rally which was very well socially distanced.
"This fund is to help those with fines, pay them."
The PSNI Chief Constable Alan Todd confirmed on Saturday that a number of fines and community resolution notices were issued at the Black Lives Matter rally in Derry.
