Mr Corry Finn has been involved in nursing for 41 years.

Niall Birthistle, chairman of the Trust’s Board, speaking at its December meeting, said Mr Corry Fin has made a “ great contribution to the Western Trust”, and had “worked very hard to promote a culture of good patient experience” as well as good outcomes.

Elaine Way said Mr Finn was one of the few remaining original board members for the Trust since the board was installed in 2006. She said: “Alan Corry Finn has been at my right hand. As Executive Director of Nursing there is no-one who would argue more passionately for high nursing standards. He has been a pleasure to work with, he has a huge sense of fun, and he will continue to be a friend to many of us so we will not lose him completely, and I’m sure he will continue to have an opinion on how things are going.”
