Security alert in Derry: Families evacuated
A number of homes have been evacuated as a result of a security alert in the Shantallow area of Derry.
Police have confirmed that a security operation is currently under way in the Drumleck Drive area of the estate.
A PSNI spokesman said: “A number of people have been moved from their homes while police examine a suspicious object.
“Evacuated residents are being accommodated in Shantallow Community Centre.”
