Sorcha mum's support for Derry's Winter Woolly Walk
Cancer Fund for Children’s annual Winter Woolly Walk event will take place at eight special locations, including Derry,
on February 27, The fun-filled event at St Columb’s Park is the perfect excuse to kick of those winter blues and rally the family together for a great day out in the fresh air all while raising funds for the charity that supports local families whose lives are devastated by cancer.

Hide AdChristina’s family benefitted from Cancer Fund for Children’s services after her daughter Sorcha was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Sadly, Sorcha passed away in October 2014, aged just 23.
Now, Christina is urging locals to step out in support of the charity.
She says: “It is a great family day out and a fantastic way to get the kids outdoors and keep them entertained while also raising money for a great cause.”
The first 600 people to register for the event will receive a free pair of fluffy Winter Woolly Walk gloves.

Hide AdEach walk ranges from three to five miles. There will be plenty of warm refreshments to heat cold hands and fun family activities on the day.
This year, Cancer Fund for Children hopes the Winter Woolly Walk events will raise £30,000.
The charity relies on fundraising in order to provide its services which include offering practical, emotional and financial support to local families affected by cancer as well as free therapeutic short breaks.
Make a difference this February 27 by stepping out for the St Columb’s Park Winter Woolly Walks and enjoy a fantastic family fun event.
Registration is from 10am with the walk starting at 10.30am.
