Students scoop award for youth mental health App

Two students from North West Regional College's Strand Road campus have scooped an award after developing a mental health app for young people.

Industry experts and established social entrepreneurs considered the viability of the proposed projects and their overall social mission during judging.

The two students impressed judges including Geraldine Lavery, Head of Department for Health and Sports at NWRC who described their “passion and innovative approach to tackling a social problem, that is a growing issue” as very impressive.

Shauna and Danielle are students of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at North West Regional College.
