Students scoop award for youth mental health App
The students, Shauna McCloskey and Danielle Quigley, have won the Social Enterprise Industry Insiders Award in a Cross-Campus competition.
The duo worked together to develop a business plan for a social enterprise, specialising in the development of an app promoting good mental health in young people.

Hide AdIndustry experts and established social entrepreneurs considered the viability of the proposed projects and their overall social mission during judging.
The two students impressed judges including Geraldine Lavery, Head of Department for Health and Sports at NWRC who described their “passion and innovative approach to tackling a social problem, that is a growing issue” as very impressive.
Shauna and Danielle are students of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at North West Regional College.
