Teen sex assault case put back

Prosecutors were not in a position at Derry Youth Court on Tuesday to fix a date for a preliminary enquiry in the case of a teenage boy charged with sexual assault by penetration in August 2015. Defence solicitor Mick McGee said the case, which would be moving to the Crown Court, had been listed to fix a date but he understood this would not be possible.

A PPS solicitor confirmed the investigating officer was in Belfast and not all files were yet ready.

The case was put back to December 6 to fix a date for a PE.
