Tributes paid to Noel Adams


The Waterside man is understood to have died in his Lisnavar Court home after a long illness.
Mr Adams was described as a “long-standing and very highly committed member of the Labour Party who served on the Constituency Executive Committee for many years.

Hide AdBoyd Black, Secretary of the Labour Party in Northern Ireland said: “He was highly active and when in good health he spent a lot of time canvassing for the party in England.
“In more recent years, he did a vast amount of work on the telephone, particularly around European funding.”
Mr Black said that his party colleague had been someone who had organised the workforce to ensure their rights were protected in various places where he was employed.
“He consistently followed what he considered to be Labour principals and was exceptional in his commitment.
“A Labour Party stalwart, he will be greatly missed.”

Hide AdMr Adams was also a former member of the board of Rural Area Partnership In Derry (RAPID).
His funeral will be held in Glendermott Parish Church tomorrow (Tuesday, December 2nd) at 2pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Marie Curie.
