A hundred and sixty two people have now tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus while 20 people have tragically died after developing the COVID-19 disease in Derry and Strabane.

But the number of positive cases in the district per 100,000 of the population is just 108 which is lower than anywhere apart from Fermanagh and Omagh where 78 people have tested positive, ten people have died, and the rate of cases is 67/100,000.

The average rate of cases per 100,000 of population in the north is 228, more than double that of Derry and Strabane and almost three times the Fermanagh and Omagh rate.
