Derry councillor Rachael Ferguson asks people to stop abusing shop staff
A Derry councillor has asked people to stop abusing shop staff who are under extra pressure and are as worried as everyone else about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alliance Councillor Rachael Ferguson said she was aware of reports of staff being ill-treated by customers.
"A lot of retail staff are receiving abuse. We need to remember they can’t work from home. They are just as worried and have loved ones who are vulnerable. They are working extra hours to help with the demand. They need you to social distance and be kind," she said.
