Andy McInroy, from Park, who will live stream his epic cycle on his own Facebook page, will get in the saddle at 4am and expects to be pedaling until early on Thursday evening.

He has already far exceeded his £400 target and raised over £1,000 but is hoping to raise even more.

"This will be over twice the distance I have ever cycled before and will probably take me 16 hours.

"All this effort will get me absolutely nowhere and will leave me with a very sore bottom but all for such a worthwhile cause at this uncertain time.

"I won't be alone in my challenge as I will be joining Mark Beaumont's growing peleton of riders online who are attempting their own challenges to raise valuable funds for our NHS," he explained.
