Derry named among top engagement capitals

Derry as we all know, is one of the most well-known locations in Northern Ireland and further afield. As well as the famous ‘Derry walls’, tourists flock to the city because of the culture and welcoming atmosphere from the locals. According to new research, residents in the city are feeling extremely lovable in 2021, as many plan to pop the big question.

New research carried out by JewelleryBox has discovered that Derry is one of the engagement capitals of the UK, with 8.22% of the city’s population searching engagement related terms online.

Durham came in first, with 12.28% of the population looking to get engaged, followed by Liverpool at 11.23%, Bristol at 9.34%, Lincoln at 8.94%, followed by Derry at 8.22% and Norwich at 8.02%.

Residents in the Scottish city, Glasgow, have been placed in seventh place in the table, with 7.98%.

The city of Worcester finished at the bottom of the table, with only 6.98% of residents looking to propose.
