Local Sinn Féin councillors in the city said local community centres throughout the city were co-ordinating the local response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ballyarnett Councillo Aileen Mellon, speaking from the Greater Shantallow Area Partnership, said: "We are seeing lot of great work take place here. A lot of community spirit. People coming together to help those most in need.
