Senior directors and clinicians at the Western Trust have given an overview of the first in a network of new Primary Care Covid-19 centres that opened at Altnagelvin yesterday.

In a video message the Western Trust Director of Performance and Service Improvement Teresa Molloy and Dr. Ciaran Mullan, GP Association Medical Director at the Trust explain how the new assessment centre will work.

The Health Minister Robin Swann said he was impressed by the level of co-operation shown to get the centre up and running in such a short space of time.

He said "actions like this will help save lives."
