Vote of confidence in Derry hailed by localrepresentatvies

Derry cyber security firm MetaCompliance's vote of confidence in Derry via an investment in 69 new jobs over the next three years has been hailed by local political representatives.

Sinn Féin Foyle MP Elisha McCallion said: “I very much welcome the news of this investment by MetaCompliance with the help of Invest NI at its Derry operation on Patrick Street.

“These jobs will provide a welcome boost to the local economy and will add to the firm’s existing workforce in the city.”

Foyle DUP MLA Gary Middleton said: “This announcement is very welcome news for the North West area and will be a welcome addition to the local economy.

“The decision by MetaCompliance to expand their operation is another vote of confidence in the local workforce.

“I look forward to seeing these jobs coming to fruition.”

The investment is being supported by Invest NI, which has offered MetaCompliance £652,000 towards the creation of the new jobs, which will bring its workforce in the city up to 102.
