WATCH - Derry city centre fire
A fire took place at a house in Derry city centre on Friday afternoon.
At least two Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (N.I.F.R.S.) fire appliances attended the scene.
The ‘Journal’ understands the house was successfully evacuated.
One eye witness described what they saw.

Hide Ad“I heard a loud bang and then I saw flames and smoke,” said the woman.
“One minute it was quiet and then the next all I could see was flames and smoke.
“As the fire continued to burn I could still hear loud bangs - I am not too sure what they were.”
