Woman claimed £10k while '˜doing the double'
A woman was convicted at Limavady Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 21, for claiming benefits she was not entitled to.
Ellen Scott (47) of Roeview Park, Limavady claimed Incapacity Benefit, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £10,171 while failing to declare employment, the Magistrates’ Court heard.
She was given 100 hours community service by the District Judge.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department for Communities.
