As the Grand National 2018 festival gets underway, we look ahead to the big race this weekend. Find out when the race is on, where to watch it and who are the favourites.

When is it?

The race gets underway at 5.15pm on Saturday, April 14.

What TV channel is it on and who are the presenters?

For the second year running the race will be shown on ITV. The terrestrial channel successfully wrestled rights for the race away from BBC and Channel 4. The race will be presented by Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani, who will be joined by Sir AP McCoy, Luke Harvey and Mick Fitzgerald for expert analysis.

What radio station is it on?

The race can also be listened to on the radio, with both BBC Radio 5 Live and Talksport broadcasting coverage of the action.

Where is it?

As it has done since 1837, the race will be run at Aintree Racecourse in Merseyside.

Who are the favourites?

The four horses being touted as the favourites by various bookmakers are Anibale Fly, Total Recall, Blaklion and Tiger Roll.

Anibale Fly is ridden by veteran jockey Barry Geraghty, with William Hill offering odds of 10/1 for the A J Martin trained horse.

Total Recall is trained by Willie Mullins, who coached 2005 Grand National winner Hedgehunter. PaddyPower have backed the horse at 10/1

Father and son team Sam and Nigel Twiston-Davies are throwing their support behind Blaklion. Nigel Twiston-Davies has trained two Grand National winners and will be looking to add a third to his collection, with Coral offering odds of 9/1.

The lowest odds on offer are for Gordon Elliott trained horse Tiger Roll. Ladbrokes are offering odds of 8/1 for the horse.
