CYCLING: Foyle's Campsie Race Series underway

Foyle Cycling Club's 2016 Campsie Race Series got underway in difficult conditions on Wednesday night with guest rider Rory Devlin scooping first place.

The competitors were forced to battle strong winds, heavy rain and even hailstones across some quite exposed sections of road after which Sammy McFadden claimed the 10 points as first Foyle rider home in second sport behind Devlin. Thomas McLaughlin was third home to claim nine points with John Quigley fifth which gave him eight points.
