Declan Devine's team were pencilled in to play the Bit O'Red this Friday night, however, the fixture has been put back until next Wednesday, November 25, with kick-off at 7.30pm.

Neither the FAI or Derry City Football Club have stated the reasons for the postponement, however, Sligo Rovers claim the decision was made following another Covid-19 outbreak in the Derry camp.

Sligo confirmed the postponement on its Twitter account this morning.

"The Extra.ie FAI Cup quarter-final between Sligo Rovers and Derry has been postponed following an outbreak of Covid-19 within the Candystripes camp," read the tweet.

The two other quarter-finals, Finn Harps v Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians v Dundalk, both take place this Friday with kick-off at 5.45pm & 7.45pm respectively.

All three matches will be live on WATCHLOI.
