Derry City's UEFA Europa League qualifier against FK Riteriai rescheduled

DERRY CITY's UEFA Europa League first round qualifier against FK Riteriai has been rescheduled for Tuesday, August 26th.

Declan Devine's team were originally drawn to play the Lithuanian side on Thursday, August 27th but both clubs have agreed to play the fixture two days before.

It's understood the decision was made to accommodate FK Riteriai's rivals Žalgiris Vilnius who are also set to play their Europa League qualifier at home against Estonia's Paide Linnameeskond.

Both FK Riteriai and Žalgiris Vilnius play their home matches at the LFF Stadium but league leaders, Žalgiris will now play their qualifier on Thursday, August 27th.

Derry's qualifier is a one-legged match with extra time and a penalty shoot-out if required. Winners advance to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round. KO 7pm local time / 5pm Irish time.
