EURO 2016: Shane Duffy's family plea for help after losing flag in Paris
Dad, Brian, joked he’s been forced to re mortgage his Galliagh home to fund their travels from Paris, to Bordeaux, onto Lille and back to the French capital in support of their son.
Accompanying them on their travels has been a giant Irish tricolour with Shane’s image emblazoned on the front, made by his mother, Siobhan.

And, as they celebrated Shane’s tournament debut in the 1-0 victory over Italy in Lille on Wednesday night, the family issued an appeal to get their flag back as they prepare to march south to Lyon where the Irish meet the French on Sunday.
“We never got the flag back after that night in Paris,” explained Brian.
“Siobhan was more annoyed about it than anyone else. She made it all up and got his photo printed on it.

“We took photographs of it everywhere we went but we lost it in Paris. I blame my other son for that. Tony had it tied around him and lost it somehow. It’s a good thing his head is stuck on his shoulders because he would lose that, too,” he laughed.
“Hopefully, we get it back. Fingers crossed.”
