5. Ronan Boyce
Pushed further up the pitch in a wingback role on the right and looks just as comfortable as when playing in a back four. Joined in with the attacks well and showed he has more in his locker than solid defending and scoring late goals.
6. Nathan Gartside
A spectator for much of the first half, the City keeper was called into action twice in the space of five second half minutes and did superbly to parry clear Kavanagh's snapshot before denying Jack Stafford at the near post.
7. Joe Thomson
Beginning to hit top form and capped off an energetic performance with a sublime goal eight minutes into the second half as he cut inside on his left foot. Got himself in promising goal scoring areas on several occasions during the match.
8. Danny Lafferty
Arguably his best performance since returning to Brandywell. Deployed at wingback, Lafferty was a constant threat and attacking outlet on the left wing. His delivery from advanced positions caused havoc in the Waterford defence.
