In pictures: Derry City fans feeling the blues after Waterford's shock Brandywell win

It was the final Premier Division fixture at Brandywell for four weeks and this one didn’t exactly go to plan as Waterford stunned Derry City in a 4-2 victory – a result which left supporters reeling.

Attendances have dipped at the Lone Moor Road venue during the summer months despite the much-anticipated homecoming to the magnificent new grass hybrid pitch which is the envy of almost every club in the country.

There was still a significant support at Friday’s game as Derry looked for back-to-back wins but instead they witnessed an eighth loss of the season as the ‘Brandywell Faithful’ called for the manager’s head.

Before the mood turned our photographer Kevin Morrison captured these fantastic snaps from the terraces.
