And with the FAI Cup Final on the horizon, the Candy Stripes will be determined to finish on a high in front of their home support.
The Brandywell Faithful were in fine voice on Monday night when Kevin Dos Santos scored the winner against title chasing St Patrick’s Athletic and they’ll be hoping to make the difference against the Lilywhites this weekend.
It’s been a year of much change at Brandywell with the venue being transformed with the installation of a stunning new grass hybrid pitch, not to mention a change of management.
Things appear to be on the up under interim boss Connolly with schools across the city turning red and white in anticipation of a third cup final in five years and signing off with a home win would certainly help galvanise the fanbase ahead of that clash with Waterford at the Aviva Stadium.
Check out these fantastic photographs taken by Kevin Morrison of some very happy Derry City supporters last Monday night.
