We're now into the second week of the January transfer window, and things are set to move up a gear as Premier League sides look to secure players capable of taking their team to the next level. Manchester United have improved of late, but still look a few players short of a team capable of challenging for a top four finish.

January is a notoriously tricky time to make big signings, but there's still and off-chance that the Red Devils could pull off a real coup. Here's who the bookies think United could be in with a chance of signing this month, ranked from longest to shortest odds...

Odds: 12/1. Another transfer window, another load of rumours linking Rabiot with a transfer move. He's only just joined Juventus, but he's already being tipped to move on.
Odds: 12/1. This looks to be a long shot, as Arsenal and Spurs are the firm favourites with the bookies to sign the winger. If he does decide to leave Atleti, that is.
Odds: 12/1. The 21-year-old has been tipped as a real star for a future, but can't get a game for I Bianconeri. Leicester City are the current front-runners to sign him, with United not really in the picture as of yet.
Odds: 10/1. He could definitely add some spark to the Red Devils, but a summer move away from the Serie A side looks more likely at the moment.
Odds: 8/1. Now, this would be a lovely piece of business. He's really gone off the boil for Spurs this season, but could be reinvigoratedwith a move to Old Trafford.
Odds: 6/1. Germany aren't short of a wonderkid these days, and Havertz is right up there with the best. Leverkusen will want big bucks for their starlet, but he'd surely be worth it for United.
Odds: 11/2. As with Eriksen, Grealish is exactly what United need to reinvigorate their lumpen midfield. With the Villains likely to be relegation candidates, joining Solskjaer's side wouldn't be a bad career move.
Odds: 5/1. United are second favourites to sign the highly-rated midfielder, who is the latest in a long line of talented youngsters to emerge from Lille.
Odds: 4/1. Firm favourites to make this happen, United are, even if the odds are a little long. He's another exciting young midfielder, who already has five senior caps for Italy under his belt.
Odds: 3/1. There's every chance that this could happen...next summer. Still, stranger things have happened inJanuary, and the allure of Old Trafford is certainly not be underestimated.
Odds: 3/1. He's tearing it up in the Portuguese top tier, and looks more than capable of shining in the Premier League. United are strong favourites to land him this month.
Odds: 11/4. It looks like a mass exodus from Juventus! The former Liverpool man has been heavily linked with a move to United of late, and it could certainly happen.
Odds: 6/4. Mauricio Pochettino coming in...him signing Harry Winks...it could happen! And that'd be an excellent piece of business all round, it could be argued.
