It’s the first time in four years that St Columb’s College have reached the final in this competition and Ryan Horner’s squad is determined to bring silverware back to the Maiden City.
Check out our pen pics to meet the players trying to create their own piece of history with the College and see Friday’s ‘Journal’ for a full final preview . . .
9. St Columb's College U12 Squad
Alfie Cregan (Defender and Captain): An influential captain who makes his team tick. He loves to break up play and start attacks with his excellent range of passing. If he is on song in the final, he could give his team a vital edge, posing enormous danger from set pieces as well. Photo: Ryan Horner
10. St Columb's College U12 Squad
Adhamh McGarvey (Defender): A powerful full back who lets nothing get past him and loves a tackle, making him most forwards’ worst nightmare. Photo: Ryan Horner
11. St Columb's College U12 Squad
Joseph Doherty (Defender and Joint Vice-Captain): A quality defender who can operate in midfield due to his immense ability on the ball, giving his team a real spark. His enthusiasm for the game is an inspiration to the rest of his team. Photo: Ryan Horner
12. St Columb's College U12 Squad
Nathan Doherty (Midfield): Arguably, the most skilful player in the squad who has come up with a lot of important goals. A real handful for any defender who will be hoping to score in the final to add to his already impressive tally. Photo: Ryan Horner
