The i newsletter cut through the noise

1. Gerard Doherty (Goalkeeper): I havea headache after every game because of the amount he talks. Better passer of the ball than outfield players, best keeper I have played with.
2. Cameron Dummigan (Defender): He was thebest player I played with throughout young teams, could still play in England. Quiet as a mouse.
3. Kevin Toner (Defender): No nonsense old school centre back who could also play. Played in the Premier League with Villa for a reason.
4. Aly Cissokho (Defender): Absolute machine, who was an experienced Champions League professional. He has also played for a host of top European sides like Liverpool, Porto, Valencia and Lyon, to name just a few.
5. Joe Cole (Midfielder): He wastechnically unbelievable and although he did not have the yard of pace he used to have when I played with him at Villa, he could find a pass from anywhere.
6. Jack Grealish (Midfielder): What a player. Jack is thebest player I have ever played with. You knew what he was going to do but still could not stop him; could run faster with the ball than without the ball.
7. Charles N'Zogbia (Midfielder): Oneof the best technical players I have ever seen just did not seem to have the attitude to match his skill. Could nutmeg two players at the same time and score from 40 yards any time he wanted.
8. Graham Burke (Midfielder): Again one of the best technical players I have played with. He has a wonderful left foot. Players could not get the ball off him.
9. Adama Traor (Striker): Thequickest player I have ever seen. He absolutely loved burning players, as everyone is now seeing in his performances for Wolves this year in the Premier League and Europa League.
10. Gabriel Agbonlahor (Striker): Gabby was a goal machine. It did not matter whether if it was training or U23's games, he wanted to score goals. His experience for young players at Villa was great.
11. Ronan Curtis (Striker): I played with him at Derry and he has anincredible work rate. Powerful player who bullies defendersand is doing that for Portsmouth this season.
