The 27-year-old front man has struggled since joining Declan Devine's side at the start of the season and failed to score in the Candy Stripes' opening four league games of the 2020 campaign.

City confirmed the news late on Sunday evening stating: "Derry City FC would like to wish Tim Nilsen every success in his future career as the striker departs the club by mutual consent."
