The Derry club have been unbeaten since October in their first season at this level and secured the title in style with two games remaining. Martin Coyle’s side are now expected to be presented with the league trophy before their final league game against Bertie Peacocks on March 26th in Oakland Park (11.00am).

“I am delighted for the players,” said the Trojan’s manager, “The success is testament to the hard work and commitment which have been the cornerstone of a brilliant achievement.

“We want to build this now and we won’t sit back just yet. We have a difficult home game in the League Cup against Glentoran in April and hopefully then the Foyle Cup in July. Also, preparations are already underway for next season at the U17 age level where there’s the added attraction of welcoming teams like Linfield, Cliftonville, Crusaders, Glenavon, Dungannon and Glentoran to Oakland.”

Gerry McKee from Subway National Youth League will be at Oakland Park on March 26th to make the presentation and all Trojans members’ parents and family are all welcome along to support the boys and acknowledge the achievement. Subway, who sponsor the National Youth League, will also be in attendance.
