Yet away from his job as the city's GAA Games Promotion Officer, the Doire Trasna stalwart has filled almost every role possible in the Waterside club, should it be managing the senior team to a couple of Junior Championship victories or over-seeing the blossoming underage structures.
His tireless work means there few better placed to cast his eye over the best of the Pearses playing staff and select his own 'Doire Trasna Dream 15' and he's picked quite a squad. See what you make of it . . .
1. GOALKEEPER: Conan Doherty
Scored 1-01 in Ulster Junior Semi-final! Conan has good hands, a great kick-out and is a scoring threat from 45s and free kicks. A real modern day goalkeeper and should be our No.1 for the next 10 years. County Class! Photo: Derry Journal
2. CORNER-BACK: Daryl McDermott
Daryl is strong, fast, good in the air and has bags of pace. Also great at breaking from defence and building attacks which is a must in modern football. Photo: Derry Journal
3. FULL-BACK: Tomas McCrossan
Is there a better tackling fullback in this division? Tomas is strong in the air and great reader of the game. Played county U-21 and there could be more to come. A real leader. Photo: Derry Journal
4. CORNER-BACK: Kevin McKenna
Kevin was quick and direct and more than comfortable building from the back with pace and strength in abundance. A real physical presence for any team. Photo: Derry Journal
