32 brilliant pictures as almost 3,000 runners take on the Derry Walled City 10 Mile Road Race

Doherty led the way in 52:47, winning from City of Derry Spartans’ Conal McGinley (53:34) in second and Termoneey’s Stephen Pickering who finished third in 53:42.

In the female race McGlynn finished in 54:13 ahead of Spartans’ Judith Storm 56:26 and Maria McGee [unattached] in 57:45.

There were a total of 2,725 finishers of the race which finished in front of hundreds of spectators at Ebrington Square. Our photographer Tom Heaney was there to capture these excellent shots from another memorable day of racing in the city.
