Hard Work Works flexes its muscles as popular Derry gym continues to grow

RENOWNED for transforming lives through fitness, Hard Work Works has made a major move of its own, relocating to a bigger, better-equipped, purpose-built gym in Springtown to meet the demands of its rapidly growing membership.

Under the guidance of experienced coach and proprietor Tony Boyce, the business has gone from strength-to-strength since opening earlier this year evidenced by its packed free public opening at its state-of-the-art new premises in Ballinska Business Park, signalling the start of an exciting new chapter.

Boyce and his team marked the opening of the gym on the first Sunday of October with a large group class which attracted over 50 people through the doors of the impressive new facility.

It was a major milestone for HWW and for former champion body-builder Boyce who has been in the fitness industry for over 14 years. "Hard Work Works officially opened its doors last weekend which is honestly a massive milestone for myself, our coaching team and our entire community," he said.

"We only opened our original HWW Hybrid United in January this year and within nine months we had already outgrown it. That probably tells the story better than anything I could say. The new facility gives us the space to take what we were already doing to another level with small group personal training as well as a dedicated strength area.

"For us, HWW has never just been about losing weight or what somebody looks like. We want to help normal people become fitter, stronger, healthier and more confident while giving them somewhere they actually enjoy coming to train.

"I've been coaching for around 14 years so to see where this has come from and to now have a facility like this is something I'm extremely proud of.

"Whether you're here to build strength, transform your body, improve your fitness or simply become a better version of yourself we've got the space to make it happen.

"But the biggest credit has to go to our members and our coaching team. The community built around HWW is the reason we have been able to grow so quickly, and this new gym is really for them.

"We're massively excited about what comes next. This feels like the beginning of the next chapter for Hard Work Works."

Boyce is also keen to give back to the community that has supported him and on Saturday the gym ran a charity bootcamp to raise funds for HWW member Chris Ferry who is taking part in the Dublin Marathon for Foyle Hospice.
