Kevin Bridges leaves Derry out of 2018 tour
Derry fans of talented Scottish stand-up comedian, Kevin Bridges, were left disappointed when it was revealed there was no place for Derry in the most up-to-date list of dates and venues for his 2018 tour 'Brand New'.
The last time Bridges was on the road was in 2015 during which time he performed five nights in the Millennium Forum in Derry.
A woman heckled Bridges relentlessly so much so she was requested by staff to leave.
Bridges also ended the performance earlier than anticipated.
A woman who witnessed the incident in 2015 described it as her "worst night ever".
“I was at Friday’s show and was in the same row as the girl [who caused the incident]. From the minute she sat down she was a nuisance. I was surprised Kevin [Bridges] lasted as long as he did before he asked her to leave,” she said.
Children in Crossfire founder, Richard Moore, described Bridges' donation as a "wonderful gesture".
“This is a wonderful gesture by Kevin Bridges and everyone associated with Children in Crossfire are extremely grateful,” said Mr. Moore.
“These funds will go towards improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable children who suffer from not having access to food, proper medicine or clean water in Tanzania and Ethiopia."
Derry fans interested in seeing Kevin Bridges perform in 2018 can do so by purchasing tickets for his concerts in the S.S.E. Arena in Belfast on November 9 and 10, 2018.
Bridges is also due to perform at the 3Arena in Dublin on November 3, 2018.
