Drive Factor talentcontest under way

Eighteen talented local singers have auditioned for the sixth Drive Factor talent competition which has just got under way.

Drive Factor judge and Drive 105 presenter, Rikki T said, “Sundays auditions were a great success and the standard of talent was extremely high”. The auditions were broadcast last night on Drive 105.3.fm.

The competition, which has a £2,000 cash prize for the winner, is organised by local radio station Drive 105. It will be run over 4 heats on Mondays, starting next Monday, 15th February at 7.30pm.

Each contestant will get the opportunity to sing live on air at the Drive 105 Studio. Public text voting will determine the entrants who progress through to the next heat.

The main sponsor for the competition is Wicked E-Juice and Drive 105 would also like to thank the Everglades Hotel, Desmond Motors, Beechwood Recordings and media sponsor, the ‘Derry Journal’ who are also supporting the competition.

The judges Martin Mullen of Desmond Motors, Lana Campbell and Eileen Warren alias Rikki T are all in agreement that the sixth Drive Factor is going to be exciting and one of the toughest to judge to date.
