Lillian stated: “I love my language, I love my culture, I think it is part of my identity and I am so proud of it, so to see every parent here ensuring that your children understand, but not just speak it but actually value your own language its so important, and the best place to do that is a school.”
The Feile included music from the pupils who sang songs in Irish, as well as entertainment from Connor O'Kane who sang original songs, Nikki Mc Cool who sang soulful covers and Brooks Combs tribute who sang covers of Garth Brooks. Parky the magician and Stitch the mascot gave the pupils some great fun. In addition there were bouncy castles, pizza stands, slushie and ice cream vans, as well as tombola and football fun.

The Bunscoil has had a busy few months, trying to secure funding for the school, which has been in temporary huts since the school opened in 1984. Earlier in May the Minister for Education Paul Given attended the school, and met with staff and pupils. The school has since been granted some funding for a new canteen.
Principle Maire Mc Laughlin addressed the crowd by saying “We thank you as parents and their families and the local community here for the commitment, the dedication and the loyalty to our school over the years we wouldn't have a school without you.”
