Ness Woods on the outskirts of the city is a vast wooded area that any dog would love to explore.
Prehen Woods is one of the only surviving ancient woodlands in the north and is an amazing insight into what the area would have looked like hundreds of years ago.
Culmore Country Park is a great spot for the dog away from traffic and with plenty of room to stay away from other humans too!
The Waterside Greenway runs from the Peace Bridge. through St Columb's Park to the Gransha Estate and runs beside the railway line. It boasts gorgeous views of the river and the cityside and also has plenty of benches to sit and rest the legs.
