Altnagelvin Hospital Car-Park to close temporarily at weekends for repairs in Derry

Altnagelvin Hospital’s Multi-Storey Car-Park will be temporarily closed for the next five weekends to facilitate “necessary upgrade and lighting works”.

Entrance to the Car-Park near the Hospital’s North Wing will be closed from 4.00 pm each Friday, commencing on February 13. The Car-Park will reopen on Sunday evenings during these upcoming weekends.

The Western Trust said that “the Exit will remain opened to allow for patients, visitors and staff to leave if they were already parked before the closure on the Fridays”.

“Essential works have been planned for weekend periods when the car parks are quieter, and the volume of traffic onsite is significantly less, and to minimise any impact to patients, visitors and staff”, The Trust advised in an online post.

Drivers have been asked to use alternative car parking spaces on or near the site during these next five weekends. The Car-Park will remain open to the public during the rest of the week.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued cooperation," the Western Trust said.
