Altnagelvin operating at over capacity

At midnight on Sunday there were 89 confirmed or suspected coronavirus patients being cared for in Western Trust hospitals.

Two of eleven (18.18%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin are being used to treat COVID-19 patients; seven (63.64%) are occupied by patients with other conditions; and two (18.18%) are free.

Three ICU patients in total are being ventilated - one is a COVID-19 patient and two are non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 15.36 per cent of beds at Altnagelvin are 'COVID-19 occupied', 80.72 per cent are 'other occupied' and the hospital is 0.90 per cent over capacity: 2.34 per cent are 'awaiting admission' according to the latest data.

The South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen is running at 2.34 per cent over capacity.
