Derry COVID-19 rate is now 73.7 per 100,000 and fifth lowest in the north

The seven-day coronavirus rate in Derry and Strabane is now 73.7 cases per 100,000 people and the fifth lowest in the north.

Between February 15 and February 21, there were 111 confirmed positive cases of the virus in the district giving a seven day rate per 100,000 of 73.7, down from 79.6 yesterday.

Derry/Strabane is now recording the fifth lowest coronavirus rate in the north. The lowest rates are in Fermanagh and Omagh (49.6.), Newry, Mourne and Down (59.9), Causeway Coast and Glens (71.4) and Ards and North Down (71.5).

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between February 20 and February 21 was 11.

In total 11,068 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.
