Derry COVID-19 rate now at 88.9 cases per 100,000

Between May 3 and May 9, there were 134 cases giving a seven day rate of 88.9 cases per 100,000, barely any change over the weekend.

Ards and North Down (5.6), Mid and East Antrim (15.9), Belfast (19.6), Lisburn and Castlereagh (22.7), Fermanagh and Omagh (29.1), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (29.5), Mid Ulster (36.6), Antrim and Newtownabbey (44.9), Causeway Coast and Glens (45.1) and Newry, Mourne and Down (46.1), all have lower rates than Derry Strabane.

The average rate for the north is 34.

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between May 8 and May 9 was 23.

In total 12,415 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.

A new breakdown of the number vaccinations by postcode shows that 46,182 have been administered in BT48 and 49,196 have been administered in BT47 - 95,378 in total in Derry.
