No new COVID-19 admissions to Altnagelvin with 0.94% capacity left at Derry hospital

At midnight on Thursday 35 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Seven of 10 (70%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; one (10%) was occupied by a patient with another condition and two (20% were free.

Five ICU patients in total were being ventilated - all were COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 6.88% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 90% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital had 0.94 capacity left in the system; 2.19% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
