Altnagelvin operating at 2.45% over capacity; total COVID-19 occupancy at 2.75%

There have been no new COVID-19 admissions to Altnagelvin

At midnight on Tuesday 17 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Three of 10 (30%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; five (50%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and two (20%) were free.

Three ICU patients in total were being ventilated - one was a COVID-19 patient and two were non-COVID-19 patients.

In terms of general occupancy 2.75% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 89.91% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital is now 2.45% over capacity; 7.34% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
