BREAKING: Fire-fighters attending operation in Derry city centre

Part of Derry city centre has been cordoned off this evening during an operation in which commercial premises appear to have been evacuated in Derry.

Several Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service vehicles and fire-fighters are on the scene as of 5.30pm on Wednesday.

The nature of the operation is as yet unclear.

Cordons have been erected near to Custom House Street and near the entrance of Victoria Market Car Park.
