Brenda Shankey launches first book
A former head girl of St Mary's College yesterday returned to her former school for the official launch of her first book.
Brenda Shankey was in town to launch ‘Be Fabulous’ an audio book aimed at getting people to believe in themselves.
It’s also been called the ultimete survival guide for today’s modern woman.
In the morning Brenda, daughter of well known retired youth worker Brendan Wilkinson, spent time with pupils from St Cecilia’s College teaching sixth years about mindfulness training.
She then returned to her former school, St. Mary’s College, where she told girls they had to take 100% control of their lives.
“My worst time was my best time,” she said.
“Now I in live in the present being the best that I can be.”
